Our Story
About the Veronica Foundation
A registered NGO committed to bridging the digital divide through technology education, scholarships, and community development across Nigeria.
The Founding Story
The Veronica Foundation for Technological Impact and Advanced Learning was born from a simple but powerful conviction: that access to quality education and technology should not be determined by where a child is born or the circumstances of their family.
Founded in 2024 and officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission on 3rd October 2024 (Registration Number 7976719), the Foundation was established by a group of passionate professionals who witnessed firsthand the widening digital divide in Nigerian education. While students in urban centres gained access to computers, coding courses, and STEM resources, millions of young people in underserved communities were being left behind.
Our founders — Kiema Ogunlana, Peter Onah, Helen Abobi, and Godwin Agbane — came together with a shared vision: to create a platform that would provide not just access to technology, but comprehensive, sustained educational support that transforms entire trajectories.
From our base in Abuja, we have grown to reach over 25 schools across 6 states, enrolling 137+ students in our flagship programmes and channelling more than ₦50 million toward scholarships, infrastructure, and life-changing training programmes.
Our Mission
To bridge the digital divide by equipping young learners in underserved communities with the skills, resources, and mentorship they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Our Vision
A Nigeria where every young person, regardless of background or geography, has equal access to quality technology education and the opportunity to become an innovator, leader, and changemaker.
Our Values
Excellence
We hold ourselves and our programmes to the highest standards, because our students deserve nothing less.
Equity
We deliberately target underserved communities and remove barriers to access, ensuring opportunity is distributed fairly.
Transparency
We are open about how every naira is used, publishing impact reports and inviting donors to see our work firsthand.
Innovation
We embrace new technologies and teaching methodologies, preparing students for the future rather than the past.
Community
We build lasting relationships with schools, families, partners, and donors, because lasting change requires collective effort.
Integrity
We operate with honesty, accountability, and ethical standards in everything we do.
